WIRED - Women in Real Estate Development

Our vision is to be the go-to local group for empowering women to become leaders in developing and investing in commercial real estate for financial independence.

 

Our mission is to champion women in CRE by celebrating achievements, fostering authentic connections, providing real-world tangible education from our own case-studies, and collaboration to increase member's professional visibility and confidence.

Above all, we are creating community of strong independent women who are serious about financial independence and owning our power.

Sheryl is a broker, investor and developer and has been a licensed commercial real estate professional for 30 years in the Kansas City market, specializing in retail and restaurant tenant representation and has been investing and developing her own community projects for the past 12 years.  Select Sites was founded in 2005 and WIRED was founded in 2016.

As Managing Partner of Clemons, Audrey oversees a team of 10+ commercial brokers and maintains an active role in acquisitions, development, strategic planning, and investment sales. She currently owns a portfolio of office, industrial, and multi-family properties across 4 states.

Sarrah Chapman helps purpose-driven women align with their deeper calling to create meaningful impact—without burnout or sacrifice.

After a career in sales and marketing within industrial engineering, Sarrah followed her own path in 2010, shifting into wellness, personal development, and energy reading to help others create sacred success through deep inner connection.

Passionate about the power of women in land stewardship and community building, she enjoys learning about investment opportunities of all kinds - especially those unique to the rural area where she lives and the spaces where she hosts client retreats.

Heather Luce has been in the real estate industry since 2015 and is the broker/owner of KC LOCAL HOMES real estate firm. As a Kansas City native, she loves to share her passion about her city and really enjoys establishing unique relationships with everyone she meets. To her, being a small local business means they get to focus on helping others and representing clients fully, while having a lot of freedom to have fun while doing it. Heather is also a real estate developer and investor.

Selena Corpuz

Event Chair

Selena is part of the team at GastingerWalker&, a Kansas City-based architecture firm, where she leverages her background in event planning, hospitality sales, and real estate to lead Marketing and Business Development efforts in the A/E/C industry. She is passionate about crafting intentional experiences that spark connection, inspire creativity, and drive growth — not just for clients and users, but for the teams who serve them.

 

As an integrator, Selena brings structure to vision and traction to strategy — aligning people, priorities, and ideas to move work forward. Resourceful and resilient, she blends emotional intelligence with operational focus to turn relationships into results. Guided by a strong sense of responsibility and purpose, she develops smart pursuit strategies and revenue-generating initiatives that create meaningful opportunities and position people and projects to win.

 

A graduate of the ULI REDI program, Selena is an aspiring developer actively seeking mentorship, access, and opportunities to contribute to development teams. She’s driven by honoring the dreams of her ancestors and building a future they once only imagined.
